De Leon Springs, Florida
Brand new trail. Has a good XC trail with lots of up and downs and fast decents. Even a teeter-totter, and a few ramps. XC trail is well marked and flows in one direction. There is also a small Bowl Section with a few jumps and places to break your neck if you are so inclined.
This trail is not mountain biking, but when you live in Naples, you have to take what you can get. It beats riding on roads or jogging for fitness.According to the Collier Seminole State Park website this trail is, Off road biking on Historic Marco Road along a 3.5 mile course along marsh, hammock and pine flatwood.Proper procedure says that riders should check in at the Ranger Station just East...
Vero Beach, Florida
Trail cuts thru palmetto and oak hammocks. No elevation change. A few palmetto roots here and there. Most difficult part is staying on the trail. It's fairly well marked, but it's not been riden enough to follow the ruts.
Crooked Creek Trail
Panama City Beach, Florida
This is a 9 mile loop with a short cut option near mile marker 2. The trail is 98% single track with about 2% forest service road. The trail goes through pine forest with some thick under brush. The trail surface is entirely of sand. Every time I have riden the trail it was during or just after heavy rain and much or the trail was under water but it does not have much effect your bike much as...

New Wooden bridge over Howell Creek. Water at the Jeta Point trail head.
De Leon Springs, Florida
2-3 miles of technical BMXish type single track.
Dupuis Wildlife Management Area
This is not a tight single track technical ride like Pinehurst, it has almost no elevation when compared to Dyer. What it has, that neither of the others have, is huge possibilities. For anyone that has ever traveled and ridden a place that seemed to have no limits to it's size, and being in the wilderness is ok for you, this will turn into a great place to ride. About 2 miles of singletrack and...
West Palm Beach, Florida
The trail is situated on a 55 ft. elevation abandoned landfill. It is 100% singletrack composed of a crushed stone surface that is one to two feet wide. The rest of the landfill is covered with vegetation. There are some small trees that provide some shade, but most of the ride is in the sun. The trail is approx. 3 1/2 miles long. The trail ascends and decends many times as it goes around the...
There are a variety of trails here. Some are more technical than others. A few small drops, very littlesugar sand. Some parts extremely slippery when wet.
Estero Bay State Buffer Preserve
Fort Myers, Florida
A nice flat underused state preserve between Ft. Myers and Naples. Was destined to become a 1,500 housing subdivision, but saved by the state in 2000.Nice, flat 4.4 mile loop with portions through tidal salt marshes. Another short side trail leads to the Estero River. Sandy path to waters edge will add to cardio regimen.Visited during the rainy summer season and portion of one path was more than...
Fernandina Beach, Florida
The trail is very well managed by the park (note: be careful of hikers, they are allowed to simultaneously hike the trail in the opposite direction.) we havent had any collisions yet though, and all the hikers I have come across have been courteous about moving out of the way for you. It's what I call a sharpen your skills track because you can do everything in one ride. It starts off kind of...
Gar Pond Trail
Intermediate singletrack built by Suwannee Bike Association, lots of fun!! Tight in some areas, with lots of great scenery at Gar Pond. Look out for spiders in the summer months.

Wekiwa Springs State Park Mountain Bike Trail
Its a loop, but head west out of the parking area to access the bike trail. It doesn\'t look like a trail, and the sign warns authorized vehicles only. The singletrack portion of the trail is a little further down the trail and doubles as a hiking trail, but the senic diversity of the trail make running into the occational hiker well worth it. You also have a great chance of seeing some...
Haile's Trails - Gainesville Mountain Bike Trail
This course is on private property and is only open a few of times a year by the landowners, don't miss the opportunity to ride this trail as the limited usage keeps it in great condition and the terrain is challenging for FL. Expect a nominal fee to have access for the day when open.Intermediate skill level riding, located around an old rock quarry, many elevation changes using the quarry...
The Berms Mountain Bike Trail
Cape Coral, Florida
Located on top of the berms (highway sound barriers) in Cape Coral. The majority of them are about 8-12 feet high with patches of grass, sugar sand, mulch and trees. This is the perfect place to train for sprints up short inclines, for practicing riding on sandy ridges and just overall cardio. Nothing too technical unless you want to get real imaginative as you ride.
Timberlake Mountain Bike Trail
Fort Walton Beach, Florida
Well maintained trail with varing difficulties. Almost all of the trails loop out from a central point and then return. Most of the trails are not marked very well, but it doesn't matter because they all come back to the same place. You will need a five dollar pass from the Jackson Guard station in Niceville because it is on gov. property and adjacent to a live bombing range:)
