The climb at Olson Tower is steady and long. At the top is a fantastic 360 degree view of all the mountains surrounding Canaan Valley. The first part of the return is on Canyon Rim Trail, a sometimes rocky, sometimes smooth and always exciting route. After exiting the trail, it's all downhill to the finish.
