This country falls within the Upper Sonoran and Transition zones, where you’ll find mature stands of pinyon and juniper, with good views up to Sandias and surrounding foothills. This is a pretty area and a fun, short ride that will give you a good feel for New Mexico’s rolling uplands. There are many trails in this area, which is a favorite of local mountain bikers.
