From Lookout mtn: Take Chimney Gulch uphill to Beaver Brook trail, and then onto Lookout mtn trail. Follow this to the top of Apex park. Apex: Go down the main trail, make a left at the Sluice Box trail and head up to Pick N' Sledge, and ride this down to Apex trail. Continue out and head for hwy 40. Go north on hwy 40 for 1.3 miles.
