As this pub. the road has not been fully scraped in years, therefore, lots of steep loose gravel fire road. Total elevation gain is around 2400 feet. Lots of sun exposure in the afternoon, but few people make it to the top in this direction. Good views of the SF basin and Catalina Is. Lots of radio towers on top. This is all climbing on the way up.
