Everybody who rides Oak and Spring Canyons out of Mission Trails should avoid the ridges in Camp Elliott on the first weekend of the month. There is a shooting range on the other side of the hill which is used by reserve units at those weekends. If you hear gunfire turn around! The Marines have detained bikers and expelled them out the front gate of Camp Elliot. That makes for a long ride home....
