The narrow trail to Echo mountain is 2.6 miles long w/ an elevation gain of 1400 feet. It's one of the best trails in the San Gabriel front country. At the Echo Moutain junction turn left and follow the trail to the Mount Lowe Fire road. You have just by passed 1600 feet of boring fire road at this point!
