This trail is located in the northern half of the 180,000 acres of the William Bankhead National Forest. This National Recreation Area by itself does not represent much of a challenge to a serious mountain biker wanting to bust a lung and stretch a thigh. However, the 33-acre lake and nine primitive camp spots do satisfy the need for a staging area to arrange some physically challenging rides...
